Susan Whitson - Owner & Travel Advisor
Susan Whitson has been creating meaningful and security-minded travel experiences since 2014, earning recognition from Condé Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure. Before founding Susan Whitson Travel, she served as Press Secretary to Mrs. Laura Bush at the White House—an experience that took her across the globe and instilled in her a deep appreciation for culture, connection, and discretion.

That White House background, shared with her colleague Lindsey, shaped their skill for managing complex logistics with calm precision and providing clients access to extraordinary people, places, and moments few others can offer. Specializing in Comprehensive Security Travel, Susan draws on close partnerships with global security and diplomatic teams to ensure every journey feels effortless and private.

Having explored more than 80 countries across six continents (with only Nebraska left to go), Susan is especially passionate about Africa, the Middle East, Asia, French Polynesia, Spain, Scotland, and South America. She loves designing honeymoons, multigenerational adventures, and journeys that reconnect families to the world—and to each other. When she’s not traveling, Susan calls the Virginia countryside home.
Lindsey Knutson - Travel Advisor
Although born and raised in one of the most beautiful places on earth, Lindsey quickly fell in love with diverse cultures, people and beauty in her travels to over 70 countries and all 50 states as Mrs. Laura Bush's personal aide. After serving in the White House, Lindsey directed the global community investments portfolio for Hunt Consolidated, Inc., a group of entities with activities in oil and gas, real estate and ranching. Prior to joining Susan Whitson Travel, Lindsey was the inaugural Director of Leadership Programs at the George W. Bush Institute.
Lindsey can find a gem just about anywhere on the map, but she especially enjoys planning trips to Central and Eastern Europe, South America, the Middle East and Africa. When Lindsey is not exploring and seeking the next exciting destination for clients, she enjoys spending time on the water with her husband and her two children in her native home state of Texas.
